Description:Sesamolin is a component of sesame oil which has the high concentrations of omega-6 fatty acids. Sesamolin inhibits proliferation of human lymphocytic leukemia cells in culture. It has the potent anti-oxidant function. It is used as a pyrethrin synergist to increase the pesticide effect considerably. Other synergists include: piperonyl butoxide, piprotal, sesamex, sesamolin, sulfoxide, and tribufos. Sesamolin has the dioxole heterocyclic ring structure.
